Methodology

How FindMyMoney.App discovers, reviews, verifies, updates, and labels funding opportunities.

FindMyMoney.App is built as a discovery and review layer for funding opportunities. The goal is to help people find relevant programs faster without hiding the fact that the official source is always the final authority.

How opportunities are discovered

We find opportunities from government agencies, universities, foundations, nonprofits, funders, official program portals, public notices, and reputable source pages that point back to a primary program. Automated crawler assistance helps us find candidate pages, but candidate pages are not treated as final just because they were discovered.

How official sources are checked

When an opportunity is added or refreshed, we prefer an official program page, application page, funder announcement, government notice, university page, or foundation page. If a third-party page is useful for discovery, we try to resolve the listing back to an official source before presenting it as a current opportunity.

How deadlines are verified

Deadlines are recorded only when the source publishes a clear fixed date or an explicit rolling/ongoing status. If a page uses vague wording, an old cycle, or no clear closing date, we label it as deadline unknown rather than inventing a date. Internal placeholder dates are not shown as real deadlines.

What verified means

Verified means we found a credible source for the program details and recorded a review or update date. It does not mean we guarantee an award, eligibility, funding availability, continued program operation, or application success.

How closed and unclear records are handled

Open, rolling, and upcoming opportunities can be indexed when the page has enough useful content. Recently expired opportunities may remain visible for context but are labeled clearly. Older expired pages are noindexed unless they are intentionally maintained as substantial historical or evergreen guides. Deadline-unknown records are labeled so users know to confirm timing before planning around them.

Limitations

Funding programs change. Agencies can extend, cancel, pause, or reopen deadlines. Award amounts can vary by budget, applicant type, location, or fiscal year. Eligibility can depend on details that are not visible in a summary. FindMyMoney.App is informational and is not legal, financial, tax, immigration, academic, or benefits advice.

Reporting corrections

If you find outdated, incomplete, or incorrect information, please use the instructions on the corrections page. Include the opportunity URL, the official source URL, the detail that changed, and any date-sensitive context.
